1. Strengthen the belt with an adhesive interlining (Thermo-adhesive interlinings are ironed on from the inside of the part with a very hot iron).
2. Sew the middle back seam between the cut marks. Iron the cut edges to the wrong side.
3. Sew the zipper under the edges of the upper slit so that the teeth are not visible.
4. Sew darts and side seams.
5. Sew the darts and seams on the lining. Place the lining inside the skirt with the wrong side facing the wrong side and baste it to the top edge of the skirt. Sew the fastener allowance to the zipper tapes.
6. Place the belt face to face with the top edge of the skirt and stitch, leaving an allowance for the fastener protruding on the right back edge of the belt. Overstitch the ends of the belt. Turn the inner edges of the belt and topstitch from the front side into the stitching seam. Neaten the loop on the left end of the belt, sew on a button on the right.
7. Hem the skirt. Sew the slit allowances to the hem. Hem the bottom of the lining so that the lining is 2 cm shorter than the skirt. Turn the lining over and sew it to the slit allowances.
